Skyline by Danny Weiser - 9/10
Once again, another torn and restored card. Skyline is a visual torn and restored corner effect, and I must say this is really good! This has super mad visuals and the amount of ways to do the restoration is limitless.
You receive a gimmick with the DVD and it is very well made. One tiny issue was it seems a little breakable (I haven't had any issues) and Danny does not teach you how to fix it. However, the gimmick should last a very long time with proper care. I thought I had the gimmick figured out but man, I was wrong. This is genius and you really can show front and back of the card after tearing the corner. It is super clean. It is super easy to execute the restoration and your creative juices really run wild on this one.
The DVD was produced pretty well. I have seen better production quality from the Blue Crown but Danny covered everything and you learn everything you need to know. I still wish he taught how to make a new gimmick or fix if it does break or get lost. You also get a bonus un-gimmicked routine where a corner is torn, vanished and appears inside a band-aid. This didn't make much sense to me, it was like they needed to throw something in to extend the DVD length. The method is identical to an effect put out by Daniel Madison. It was a nice idea but didn't really fit in anywhere.
You can get really creative with this one. You can restore the corner in pretty much anyway imaginable. I liked the idea of spitting the corner back on. Danny had a really nice idea where you restore the corner under your foot and film the restoration. This leaves the spectator with an impossible video on their phone to show other people.
Overall, this is a great product. Apart form the issue of not teaching repairs or the gripe I had over the bonus effect, this is a solid product which I plan on using regularly. $30 is a pretty decent price for what you are getting. I am very pleased with this. 9/10
