A few years ago, I remember watching the viral video "Share the Love". It was a Valentine's Day video that incorporated magic to tell a story. I instantly fell in love and just HAD to know where to get those cards. Patrick has now released these cards (and his routine) with SansMinds Magic.
The routine is really smooth and has a nice, sweet story to go along with it. Parts of it happen in the spectator's hand and at the end , she (or he) gets a chocolate. There are two versions taught, a multiple cards version (packet trick style) and a single card version. The multiple cards version uses three to four cards (blank in the spectator's mind). This is relatively easy and has a few visual changes. At the end, a card is produced in the empty envelope that they have been holding. Then, a Hershey's kiss chocolate (or a heart shaped item) is produced from the flat envelope. This routine is very easy to master with a small amount of practice and is within the reach of most beginner/intermediate performers. The single card version is a lot harder but so much more visual and impossible. I really enjoyed a colour change taught that was just impossible. I practiced and practiced until I got it down and MAN! It is so beautiful. This is the version I will be using because of the fairness of holding one card and doing those changes.
The DVD is really well produced. Patrick teaches everything in great detail and is very easy to follow. The cards and envelope you get are really nice and will last you a very long time (with proper care). I liked all the variations that were given so you can really adapt this to however you want to present it.
Overall, this is a great little product. I really enjoyed the routine and could see myself using it occasionally. It is really cute and romantic and who knows... next year I may do this for someone for Valentine's Day. I'll keep you posted. Very nice. 9/10
