This is a collection of effects using a soufflé cup/ketchup cup. With the gimmicks you receive, you can perform appearances, vanishes, changes, penetrations and even a chop-cup style routine.
You receive a nice box which contains the cups, lids, gimmicks and the DVD. It is all nicely packaged and looks nice on the shelf. The actual cups that you get are of the same quality you would expect from the cups you would get at a restaurant. You do need one other thing in order to perform some of the routines but he gives alternatives to using this.
You receive a few different gimmicks that allow you to perform various different effects. My favourite is the Senses routine which is demoed on the trailer. I also really like the chop cup routine which uses a soufflé cup. All the routines feel very organic and impromptu.
You can be set and ready to perform at a moment's notice as everything can be carried in one pocket and you are set to go.
The DVD is long, 110 minutes to be precise and seems to drag in some places. Christopher Wiehl does teach everything very well and no stone is left unturned. The DVD is well produced (as is most Murphy's Magic products) and the DVD menu is very easy to navigate.
I love the routine TCOC in which a coin penetrates out of a soufflé cup and you then throw it back inside. The cool thing about this is that 1 - you don't need to have the gimmick on you as it doesn't use it and 2. it can really be done impromptu on the spot. Plus, you can borrow the coin. This is so much fun to practice and play around with.
There is also a chop-cup style routine (Ket-chop cup) which is very, very clever. The only problem is you have to work your angles a little bit but nothing you cannot overcome with a bit of practice. Watch Chris perform it on Backstage with Dan Harlan starting at 0.35 here: (http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/3957
You get all kinds of cool routines and ideas with this utility system. Some require gimmicks and preparation and some require no set-up whatsoever. There is something in here for everyone. There is also beginner to intermediate sleight of hand in the different routines.
Overall, I will use this because as I have said before, the cafeteria is my main performing area and I see these cups around sometimes. This makes it far more organic and natural to perform magic with the cups. You can create many different routines and tricks with this system. This is great fun and I personally highly recommend it. 9/10
