MINt by Steve Rowe is a gimmicked mint box which allows you to do a signed card to clear box with an organic object - a mint box full of mints. You can also use the gimmick to do visual colour changes and switches of billets or pieces of paper.
I first saw this gimmick in Shin Lim's At The Table lecture and loved it so much that I made a gimmick myself and have used it ever since to close my shows with it. When I saw this was coming out as a DVD release with a premade gimmick, I was skeptical, due to thinking that there wasn't much else I could learn from this. I was so wrong.
You get a gimmicked mint box, extra gimmicks, a replacement label and some Tic Tacs to put in the box (or eat). There are a few added functions to this box that are different to Shin's which actually make working with this prop so much easier. The gimmick is well made and should last forever. You get supplies to choose either red or blue playing cards, but you can really use this with any card design with a little thought.
On the DVD, Steve Rowe and Liam Montier teach you everything you need to know to starts performing immediately. They teach how to use the gimmick as a mystery card routine, however they also cover a bunch of routines using this prop. There was an awesome bill/receipt transpo idea, and Liam teaches his awesome handling with a nest of boxes to reach the signed card, in the mint box. The DVD was very well produced, as always from Big Blind Media.
I really love this. I have loved card to clear box and this takes it to a whole new organic and practical level. I really believe you cannot go wrong with his effect. If you want an incredibly powerful card effect to close your show, or love being creative with props, check this out. 10/10
