L.O.V.E is a pretty change from four cards to four cards that spell the word love. On the DVD, you learn the routine shown on the demo and a multiple card switch. This move has been around for a long time and I have seen it in a few other effects over the years.
On the DVD (hosted by Chris from SansMinds), there is a live performance, explanation and an "in the hands variation" of the effect. You receive with the DVD a set of 3 gaff "love" cards which are printed by the USPCC. The gaffs are high quality and should last a long time (and as Chris suggests, don't take a bath with them).
The DVD is short and to the point. Well shot and mic'd and everything is taught well with over the shoulder POV. They could have added a few extra routines to get your imagination flowing but the routine they give you is pretty solid. The only downfall to the effect is that the routine doesn't really have a point. You show four cards and change them to spell love. They should have given some ideas for patter to give the trick meaning.
Overall, it is a nice visual effect. The card switch is a little knacky at first (if you haven't worked with it before) but nothing that can't be overcome with a bit of practice. I might show this to a few girls at school, but this just doesn't fit my performing style. If you like what you saw on the trailer, then go ahead and buy it. It is only $25 and everything is taught well. 9/10
