Dissolve is a hyper visual version of Triumph, from the mind of Francis Menotti, where you ACTUALLY see the cards right themselves back into order. It's the standard Triumph effect (shuffling the deck face up/face down, they go back into order with the exception of the selected card) but it has an awesome visual element to it.
You receive a red Bicycle deck that is gimmicked in such a way that you can perform the effect. The deck is of great quality and should last a really long time. If your deck does eventually give out, you could either make a new one or I assume Murphy's will be releasing refill decks, which you could purchase.
The method for this effect is clever and diabolically simple. It relies on the gimmicked deck supplied and is pretty much self working. It takes a little practice to get the riffle action down but it is quite easy. It is angle proof and really clean. The deck cannot be examined at the end but in all honesty, the routine is so clean that I would just throw the deck back into the box and into my pocket. If they asked to examine the deck, I'd just pull out a regular matching pack of cards.
The DVD is 110 minutes long and there really is nothing that isn't covered by Francis. It is really well produced and Francis is a great teacher and goes into great detail on everything. You get a few handlings for Dissolve, as well as an entire routine that can be done using just this gimmicked deck (which is brilliant). One of the best instructional DVDs I have seen. All the history, credits and troubleshooting is covered, so you know everything about the effect.
Dissolve is a really awesome project. If you like Triumph and want to add a visual element to it, just add this to your cart now. I really believed this would be good, but this surprised me by just how good it actually is! 10/10
