Alan Rorrison is one of my all time favourite magic creators. I enjoyed this lecture because all of it was unreleased material, that was actually pretty darn good. A few effects didn't go as planned but it was still a great lecture. Here are a few of my favourite effects taught:
Linked - this was an awesome effect for walk around and is perfect because it is so quick and simple. You borrow a spectator's keychain, unlink a key and visually throw it back on and give it right back. You can bring the simple gimmick with you all day and you will be ready to perform on the spot. I will definitely be using this.
Slick Sandwich - BEST TRICK ON THE LECTURE. Literally, the spectator does a sandwich routine by themselves. They throw the jokers into the dribble and catch one card. I am already using this on a daily basis. I did this at the magic club last night and it fried everyone in the room. Incredible stuff
Quick Cap - this is a really nice cap in bottle which allows you to have the cap lay completely flat at the bottom after the penetration, use one cap and let the spectator keep the bottle. I enjoyed the thinking and concept behind this.
Money through headphones - oh my god. This is the kind of visual magic I love. This reminds me of Michael Ammar's silk through cup. Same concept but made a little more practical. You need a simple gimmick which you can have on you at all times. The visual this gives is ridiculous!
Overall, great lecture with some amazing ideas put forward by Alan. I also enjoyed the segment where he discussed TV magic. Great fun as usual with Mike Hankins hosting. You can get a lot out of this lecture. 8/10
