When I first saw the trailer for this, I knew that this was going into my act. I didn't care if it was practical, difficult etc. this just looked so cool! And I wasn't disappointed.
There are a few routines taught on the DVD:
A free choice of any song (yes, ANY song). This is so free and clean looking and really plays out like shown on the trailer. You do need a set-up (if you know what I mean) but you can repeat the effect over and over again as many times as you want. There is one "compromise" you have to make in order to perform the "any song you want" version, but the positives outweigh the one negative. This is the version I have already started using on the DVD. This is so cool!!!
Another version taught is a song selected from a stack of business cards and allows you to perform this without that "compromise" . This is nice because you can allow them to write the songs on a stack of business cards and you could have a miracle on your hands.
One more idea given is a routine in which a card is selected and lost in the deck. The spectator turns on THEIR radio and listens to the radio presenter and says something like "Wow, what a great song! By the way, I don't know why I am saying this but someone is thinking of (insert selected card), hahaha, anyway we'll be back right after this commercial break". This is a very different and fun card revelation. There is also another creepy routine using the same principle in which the spectators radio is on static and a scary voice says something like "leave me alone" or "I'm here". These are just a few ideas that are give using the principle but you can really go wild with this.
The DVD is well shot and Titanas explains everything in detail. You recieve a specially made gimmick that will work with every radio. The case of the DVD is sort of like a gift box and is very nice.
Overall, this concept is really cool. You receive a few routines to get you started but you can really get crazy with this. I definitely could use this because people have radios on their phones all the time (especially Androids because they come with built-in radios in the software). It is so organic and my generation loves music and always have their phones on them so this is absolutely perfect for my performances. The minor complaint is that the ad-copy does imply that you will be able to perform this solo and any song, everytime. Although this is true, you will need some help (if you know what I mean), but the routine where they can choose any song is SO strong that it is so worth the minor compromise. One of the first things I learnt in magic was "the ends justify the means" and that shines through in this effect. This is a great effect with so much potential! 8.5/10
